Mohammed escaped from a forced, abusive marriage to Al-Qaeda operative Essam Marzouk and became an advocate for freethinkers from Muslim communities through her non-profit organization Free Hearts Free Minds. She is a member of the Center for Inquiry Speaker's Bureau and is the co-founder and co-director of the CLARITy Coalition.
