He worked as a teacher and was active in the music industry before he was elected as a Member of the Riksdag in September 2010. He served as Secretary-General of the Sweden Democrats from 2015 to 2022. In 2022, he was appointed as chairman of the Justice Committee in the Riksdag and held the position until 2025.
